Hi,
This is a job for "invisible cursor" tap your minus key twice quickly and
emphatically to turn on the invisible cursor.  Position it over the graphic
you don't want to change, then press insert+g to turn on the graphics
labeler.
I've done this many times and it works fine.  I call this little cursor the
blind man's revenge.
