A good rule of thumb to follow with respect to un-installing software is this:
if there's an uninstaller or if a program can be removed using Add/Remove
Programs, it's best to do it that way. Simply deleting the program's
directory is often not sufficient these days, as so many programs are
logged in the Registry. A well-behaved un-installer should not only get rid
of the programs folder but also its registry keys.
