two questions, eudora and otherwise

I have two issues with jfw 3.3.26. Firstly, in Eudora, when ever I am 
reading with say all, and I am over a web address and press control, ie5 is 
launched and the site loaded. This is not desireable. I have the mailbox 
tree view hidden. What else can I do to fix this? I know this has been 
discussed before, but is there a way to fix this problem?

Secondly, sometimes when I delete a message, Eloquence stops talking for 
several seconds. Whenever I press control D, sometimes the speech takes 
several seconds to start talking. The computer has not locked up because i 
hit the windows key and hear the sound for a pop up menu come up, but no 
speech. It is like the program hangs for about 20 seconds. In some cases, 
insert escape refreshes everything, but that is not always accurate. What 
is going on. I have seen this happen with a doubletak lt as well. Why is 
this happening?
