Hi to the List, I'm running JFW 3.30.26, and was pleasantly surprised to
discover that the Perkins style keyboard now matches that of the Perkins
itself. Those of you using this unit know that dots 1 and 3 were originally
reversed on the Braille Window unit. That's been fixed. I discovered this
when I invoked the braille translator on-the-fly. One only need to type the
letter G, which is now the regular G as one would type it on a Perkins.
This command does not appear to be documented yet, but it certainly works!
Also, Word Expansion can be turned on and off with the letter W, typed in on
the Braille Window. Also, note that if you invoke Keyboard Help with the
insert-1 key combination in JFW, the switch in the keyboard layout on the
Braille Window is not reflected yet. It is my understanding that this will
be updated in the next release of JFW, version 3.31. These changes are
welcome indeed, and my appreciation to HJ for making those needed
adjustments.
Best Regards,

Les
