mouse emulation keys

Hi, I am trying to play a game that is very graphical in nature.  In this
game you have to lock the mouse button and drag things around.  When I lock
the button and go into the Jaws cursor I can't get anything to be read back
to me unless I do an insert five to see where my cursor is.  When I unlock
the mouse button then it reads fine.  Is there some setting I should change
so the mouse emulation keys work better?  Thanks.
