no they are graphic image files g i f or in other words, it is called
the graphic image format. it is a standard that I believe was started
by compuserve in or der to safely deliver images over the net. and
incase you ask, jpg another graphics format, cannot be read either bmp
is another one it stands for bitmap and is commonly used for windows
icons. It is also the format you get of the output of a screenshot in
windows.
