Hi, Bonnie. I apologize if you have received an answer to this but I didn't
notice one while reading my mail. I've just returned from a week's vacation
and I have over 1000 messages to read just on this list alone!!<smile>
The BMP file is an image file, therefore as you know any text cannot be
read by JFW automatically. My suggestions are to either import the file
using an OCR program. or save it to a format that JFW can read like Word
format. I know that TextBridge and Omnipage OCR programs will allow you to
do OCR on bmp files, I'm not sure about Ruby or the K1000 program but since
BMP is a very common graphical format, a bitmap, this may work. If you like,
send me the file privately and I'll try to bring it into my versions of
Omnipage or TextBridge.
