Ann,

At times, it's not a JFW problem but the work's setup!

                Subject: JFW3.3 and Excel97

I am running JFW33 both at home and at work. At home when I
open Excel97
the computer responds quickly and works very well. at work
the computer
gives the autostart message about help and insert-f1 (I
can't remember it,
would you believe?), then shivers and displays on the screen

'this program has performed an ilegal operation and will be
shut down.'

Before you can blink, I'm back on the task bar--and no
Excel. if i unload
JFW33, load JFW32 and open Excel, it works; but the
operation with 3.2
isn't as good as with JFW33. I can unload JFW32, load
JFW33, and do
whatever I want in Excel as long as I don't close the
program--even close
the file I am using and open another. i received an e-mail
this afternoon
with an attached Excel spread sheet, and JFW33 could open
and read that
                without a problem.

it has to be some setting in the work computer (or the home
one, actually).
anybody have a clue what i can change???
                thanks,

                Ann
