Hello, Darrell. My decktalk PC2 crashed just as yours does with the
accented character you mentioned until I upgraded to the most recent
Decktalk 4.2CD. I read in your message that doing this didn't work for you,
but my decktalk hasn't crashed the system once since the upgrade.

Subject: Problems with accented characters with JFW 3.2 and DEC-Talk PC2.
> Hi,
>
> Has anyone experienced and/or solved problems with certain accented
characters completely crashing the DEC-Talk PC2? The
> DEC-Talk card crashes and locks up tight. The computer can still be used,
but the DEC-Talk is useless until the computer has been
> completely restarted. As I recall, the character that is causing trouble
has a label of ANSI225 in JFW.
> Any ideas on this would be greatly appreciated. I have upgraded the
DEC-Talk drivers to the latest version 4.2CD.
> Thanks.
