Hello all
Ok, I've tried icq once before, but gave up on it figuring it was a program
that just wasn't speech friendly in the least. Well, after reading this list
a noticed that other users used it, so I gave it a try again, with the same
annoying results. Maybe you guys can give me some tips on either setting it
up better, or working with it more productively. Here's what I get. The
installation works just fine, aside from occasionally going out of focus but
I can deal with that. But, once I've gotten through all of the little
wizards, I found myself placed just up above the ICQ window. Insert T tells
me there is currently no item with focus. Alt-tab goes to the jaws window,
and assuming no windows other than jaws and icq are opened, that's all
alt-tab will bring me to. In other words, it will not focus on the icq
window. However, when I use the new insert-f10 command, the icq window does
indeed show up on the list. Hitting enter on this item, however, again drops
me either into the jaws (or another open window), or simply drops me to the
desktop. Here's the odd thing though, though I can't focus on the window, it
is there partially, not enough to be able to examine it but just enough to
obscure other windows. Help! hehe. I hope this description is clear enough.
I really would like to use this program, but I'll be dog gone if it's not
frustrating me, and I can't even begin to think of ideas to start scripting
it. Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
