Hi all,
Okay here is what I did. To be safe, I opened up notepad and then ran the
script manager from there. In effect I ran notepad.jss. I then pressed
control-e to write a new script. Following that I entered
SayName
then tabbed to the attach key to check box and hit the spacebar to check
it. I went to the field where you can write a synopsis and entered
the words
�Say our Name�.
Next I tabbed to the description field and typed
"The name of the person who wrote this script".
I then went to the field that allows you to assign a hot key and I chose
control+shift+n and then hit enter and I was placed in the edit field. SO I
had something like this.
Script SayName
EndScript.
Fine and good, so I wrote the body of the script to look like the following.
Script SayName
SayString ("My name is Hal'")
EndScript.
Finally, I pressed control s to compile. still nothing happens even when I
go to notepad to test it out. For the sake of testing, I only want my name
spoken when I press the assigned hot key when I'm in Notepad, but no go.
Hope I've given you all a better idea as to what I did.
