John: Here's what I did.
First of all, MS Office Startup is placed in your Startup Menu. I would
delete it from the Startup Menu by doing the following:
1. Go to the Start Menu.
2. Press S for Settings.
3. Press T for Taskbar properties.
4. After this dialog box comes up, press Ctrl Tab to get to the Customize
Tab Page.
5. Press Alt-OR for Remove.
6. You're now in a tree view. You'll likely be in the Programs group.
Press S until you hear Startup Closed.
7. Press the Right-Arrow Key once to open this menu. Arrow down until you
find Office Startup or Microsoft Office Startup.
8. With this highlighted, press Tab once to Remove and press the Spacebar
to activate the button.
9. Tab to Close and press Spacebar.
10. Tab to OK and press Enter.
Now, restart the computer and it will be gone.
Hope this helps.
