Hi, go into word and open the autoexec.bat file. Edit it and save it out to
your root directory but don't save it as a word document--save it as a text
file. Then rename it to autoexec.bat as Word will probably put a .txt
extention on it. To rename it select the file and go into it and hit the f2
key, backspace a couple of times to clear the edit box and type in
autoexec.bat. Press enter and your file will be renamed and saved with the
changes you desire.

Tod do it from Dos you would need a text editor like Q Edit or something
like that. You would go to Dos and load the file, edit it and then save it.
By the way, always remember to restart your computer after any changes have
been made and make sure your autoexec.bat file is in the root directory.
