AS you may recall, I had problems with MS Access locking up JAWS after upgrading to
GroupWise 5.5 client and making other y2k patches.
These problems were resolved after upgrading to Windows 98 second ed. (4.10.22A). This
also cleared up the focus problem when first booting up into Windows 98. Before I had
to hit 'alt+tab' several times before the jaws would start talking. Now it speak
s right away most of the time.
The only difficulty I ran into was Windows 98 second Ed. Did not like my Internal
Dectalk card software. I needed to get rid of Jaws before successfully re installing
jfw. I had to not select Dectalk card software from JFW install. And just use Eloque
nce or MS speech engine. When things slow down, I will put Dectalk back on again.
I am using a Gateway Pendium Pro 200 computer
