Hi Sandy,

I have had the same problem with control D not deleting messages, even
though it says message deleted.  I have found that hitting the delete key on
the six-pack of keys works more reliably.  I don't know why, but, I have
found that hitting shift F10 for the context menu and then hitting alt to
close it then makes the control D work again.  Good luck.
