Hi listers, I use QB 6.0 to keep my books. It is not very JFW friendly. But, with a lot of switching from JAWS cursor to PC cursor it can be done. When I started using the program I didn't think it would be very hard. It isn't all that hard to use now that I have figured it out. The problem is the edit field names are a little far to the left or above the field. I use the insert home keys to read the field names to the left and I route the JAWS cursor to the PC and move up one line to read the ones above. After you enter the customer and vendor information it is better. You will want the preference for show the last transaction turned on. This will put the last transaction information for the customer on the check of invoice. This will take a lot of the guess work out of it. Also, it will not read a check box or radio button and will not tell you if they are on or off or checked or not. But, once you set them they will remain the same until changed. I keep the books for four different businesses and my own business. I think it is the best bookkeeping program even if it is a little hard to get used to at first. Will you be starting out from scratch? If so I have written step by step directions for all of the sections that I use. If you want these directions I can send them to you as attachments to e-mails. I just finished sending them to another lady two days ago. She is getting ready to start bookkeeping on January one. As a response to your questions about Quicken, I haven't used either one of them.
