Hello List,
By following the directions below, you will be able to select multiple
items and copy them into one document. This document serves as a
"Clipboard" with a memory. Select a string or chunk of text, press the hot
key and it is copied onto your storage document. Select the next string or
chunk of text and it is copied onto the storage document, below the
preceding selection.
The initial Script and Function was developed by Fred Pearson.
Modifications were made by Suzanne Tritten and myself.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CREATING ADD TO NOTEFILE
1. Create a Folder on the root directory and name it "Utilities".
2. Open NotePad and paste the below lines:

3. Save as "MakeNoteFile.bat" in the "Utilities" folder you just created.
4. Create a folder in Windows\Start Menu\Programs and name it "AddNote".
5. Create a shortcut to makeNoteFile.bat, name it "MakeNoteFile" and place
it in the AddNote folder you just created.
6. Open the properties of the MakeNoteFile shortcut, navigate to the
"Program" Tab, Tab to the "Close on exit" checkbox and check it.
7. Create a file in NotePad and save it as NoteFile.txt in the Utilities
folder you previously created.
8. Create a shortcut for C:\Utilities\NoteFile.txt, name it "NoteFile" and
place it into the Windows\Start menu\Programs\AddNote folder.
9. Open the properties of the shortcut, "NoteFile", and assign Ctrl+ Alt+ C
as a hot key.
10. Paste the following Script and functions into your Default.JSS file by
pressing Ctrl+ Shift+ 0 to open the file, then Ctrl+ S to compile it, then
Ctrl+ End to reach the bottom of the file, pressing Enter several times to
insure room and finally, Ctrl+ V to paste.

11. Compile new additions with Ctrl+ S.
12. Place focus on Script AddToNoteFile () and press Ctrl+D to open
Documentation, then Tab to "Synopsis" and type "Copies selected text to
note file for multiple copy/cut and paste operations".
13. Tab to "Assign to Hot Key" and assign a Hot key of your choice, then
Tab to "OK" and press Enter.
14. Press Ctrl+ S, then Alt+F4.
You can now select text, press the hot key you assigned to the above script
and it will be placed into NoteFile.txt. The next chunk of text you select
will be added to the bottom of NoteFile.txt when you press the assigned hot
key a second time. When you have finished selecting and pasteing text into
NoteFile, either Save the the material by pasting it into another document,
or "save as" from NoteFile.txt.
DO NOT SAVE the changes to NoteFile.txt when you close it. This will insure
that you have a blank document to paste into the next time you use the
multiple paste feature.
