Hello every one, I figured I would tell every one how I use winamp. In the
hopes that I would make things a little easier for you. First, there are a
hole bunch of key strokes that you can find in the play back sub menu. To
get to this menu, first press Alt. Then hit the down arrow once followed by
the right arrow. Then, down arrow until you hear "Play Back", Press Enter
on this. There you are. The play back menu also has all the controls for
manipulating a file in Winamp. Such AZ,:
previous Z
Play X
Pause C
Stop V
next V
rewind 5 seconds Left Arrow
FWD 5 seconds Right Arrow
Volume is controlled by the UP and Down Arrows.
There are more commands in this menu. AZ far AZ keeping play list's, witch
has been a concern of certain members on this list. I do it in the
following way. I put all my MP3's in a folder of there own, called "MP3".
I do the same for all my wave files, but since I have allot of waves, I
seperate them into different folders according to cadigories. For example,
all my Honeymooner wave files are in a folder called "honeymooner wave
files". You can set up your folders any way you find convenient. I create
shortcuts for all these folders on my desk top. So, for example, if I want
to play an MP3 I just open up my MP3 folder and hielite the MP3 or MP3's
that I want to hear and press Enter. If you want to play a wave, well just
do the same thing. When you press Enter, Winamp will automatically open and
the selected files will play. Some times, What I will do is to select all
the items in a folder with a Control + A, then press Enter. When Winamp
opens, all the items in the folder are going to play, because they have been
selected. You can then use the Play Back commands to listen and manipulate
all or A piticular few of your selected files. This will only work if
Winamp is your default player for what ever type of file that you are trying
to play. Jaws will give you enough feedback to navigate the menu bar and
use the play back commands. The play list is something that I never mest
with, but I never really had the kneed to. and AZ far AZ the equalizer
goes, JAWS is convinced that it doesn't even exist, so don't even bother.
Generally I never have any problems with Winamp and Jaws. I never had to
write a script for it. By the way I am using Winamp 2.25. If any one has
any further questions, I would be glad to answer them off the list. I
