Accent-SA Suddenly *LOUD*

During transitions, moving from one window to another, opening an
application, sometimes cutting-and-pasting, my Accent-SA will suddenly and
dramatically increase its volume for a second or so.

If I were using headphones when this happens, using the synth would be
absolutely unacceptable; in a job it would be a significant stressor,
perhaps a negative impact on performance.

Have other Accent users experienced this?
