Is your friend getting it from:
http://www.apple.com/quicktime/
I was just there and had no problems, of course all I had to do was upgrade
the version I've got. I don't use it myself, but my kids do for several
video games. I saw a radial button for eathier windows or Macintosh. I
think you have to pick one of those.
Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, hopefully someone else will be able to
give more info.
