Hi Les,

I brought up the keyboard manager in ie 5 and could arrow up and down the
list of jkm files.

It is quite slow in its response time, i.e. you hit down arrow, wait a
second or two and then jfw announces the name of the next file.

I believe that the sluggishness in list views/menus is a problem with the
current beta release and hj are working on it so it will be rectified by
the time the product goes on general release.

Cheers,

Tim

Subject: JFW 3.31 and the Keyboard Manager

Hi to the list and HJ Staff,

I decided to reassign the jump to text key for IE5 because I prefer to use a
different keystroke that is easier to reach. When bringing up the keyboard
manager from within IE5, I am unable to arrow through the list of keyboard
files with the arrow keys. It seems to move down only to the next file,
regardless of how many times the arrow key is pressed. Also, I hear no
speech identifying which keyboard file has been chosen. When searching for
the insert-enter keystroke, I was informed that that key could not be
changed, as it was in the default keyboard file. I was able to reassign it
once going to that file, but I thought that was specific to IE5, and would
have found it within that keyboard file. My larger concern is not being
able to easily find the appropriate .jkm file to work on. It would be
helpful if somebody else could check this out to see if this behavior can be
duplicated.
Best Regards,

Les
