I'd like to see JFW offer some sort of toggle for the way it behaves with
respect to graphics on web pages, in particular those who have followed
accessible web design and included alt-tags for graphics.
Using the HJ home page as an example, the beginning of the page has what
must be a couple of pictures. HJ has defined alt-tags for these as it
should. However with the new beta you hear the word graphic spoken before
passing over the alt text. When no alt tag has been defined you'd hear
some sort of URL.
This is all fine but I'd like to have a toggle to eliminate the speaking of
the word graphic before any image, especially those that have been properly
alt-tagged.
I'd also like to see some sort of feature to provide better navigation of
image maps. My first choice would be to handle them similar to the way the
Lynx browser does. In this case you'd only be alerted to the presence of
the image map and pressing enter would expose all the elements of the map.
Failing that it would be nice to have a key to skip past all the rest of
the links in an image map when you encounter one.
I know about insert-Enter but this isn't exactly what I'm wanting to do. I
just want to get past the image map. Some web sites use 10 or more links
as part of their image maps at the beginning and it would be nice to skip
past this.
