Rob. there are some jfw configuration settings that you may need to set. I
forget where, but there is a download for ms chat somewhere on the net that
should be posted to the jfw web site. First thing you may want to do is
figure out where your chat window is, whee all the text that others type
appear, and set a frame around that. have the frame set to say highlighted
or say all, I forget which one works. Next thing you may want to do is set
another frame around the edit field window to be silent. You can set
hotkeys to read these frames if you like. What I do, is have a silent frame
around the edit window, but assign it to a hotkey so I can reread what I am
typiing. Second, set the chat frame. Third, set another frame for the last
four lines or so of the chat window and assign it to a hotkey to review the
last few lines of text written to the screen. Fourth, set a window around
the user list window. Assign this to a hotkey and you should probably make
the frame silent. If not, this frame will speak every time somebody enter
or leaves the room. You may want a hotkey on this window just to get a
clean read of who is in the room. Lastly, turn typing echo off, and set
interruptability in the configuration manager to off for writing. this will
allow jfw to read everything that comes in while you are typing without
cutting it off, and you won't hear your typing mixed in. There may be other
modificatins to make, but I think this should help people. If youdon't know
how to set up frames, please download the frames manual on the jfw web site
or at the henter joyce web site and read it. it is very easy to do once
