1. Pressing the DELETE key on a message in the message list does not behave as it did in JFW 3.30 -- it misbehaves. In JFW 3.31 RC, the phrase "Message Deleted" is spoken when the DELETE key is pressed. this is annoying and time-consuming. In JFW 3.30, this phrase was not spoken when the DELETE key was pressed. I attempted to modify the DeleteMessage script to comment this phrase out, but it was ignored. Ironically, the modification did seem to work if CTRL-D is used instead of the DELETE key. But, this is not satisfactory since the DELETE key is conveniently located to the arrow keys. 2. When an open message is deleted with CTRL-D, that same message is read again instead of the next unread message being read. This is with the virtual cursor enabled. I increased the delay in the DeleteMessage script, first to 4, then to 5 and finally 6, but the problem was not solved even then. This is a show-stopper since JFW is not properly reading what is on the screen. It makes JFW virtually unusable in Outlook Express 5. 3. In an attempt to work around the above problem, I turned the virtual cursor off and opened a message. However, it did not begin reading as it did with JFW 3.30. I even tried pressing INSERT-ESCAPE to refresh the screen, but this did not help. We should be able to achieve the behavior of JFW 3.30 in OE 5 by turning off the virtual cursor. That automatic reading of the next message is one of the strengths of JFW with regard to OE 5. Losing this ability is a step backwards.
