Hello Eudora users;
Even though HJ is working on scripts for Eudora, the set shipped with the
3.31RC fall short of the quality we expect from them. Rather than post
several fixes, as I post this I am also sending a set of scripts to Nick
for posting on the web page. I hope HJ will make some of the changes being
used successfully by Eudora users on this list
I am told if you take the work and ideas of one person it is plagiarism.
If you take the work and ideas of many it is research and development.
What I have done is the latter.
Here is the readme.txt file being placed into the script archive.
Eudora script files version 1.01. For Eudora 3.05 and above with JFW3.3x.
This is a modification of Ken Gould's original scripts which have been
modified by Ken and the staff of HJ. This script set incorporates the work
and ideas of many people other than myself. They include Julio Perez,
Patrick Berg, Dennis Brown, Carol Pearson, Walter Siren and others.
Changes made to the script set shipped with the JFW3.31 release candidate
are as follows:
1 The eudora.jdf dictionary file was changed to delete the 4 punctuation
marks which had been labeled making them unable to be controlled by the
PunctuationToggle script.
2 the PunctuationToggle script was copied into the eudora.jss file and
assigned a key stroke of {shift+control+P}
3 The FocusChangeEvent function was modified. The modification stops the
first line of the script being spoken before the header information when
you move from the header list to the body of the message.
4 Four scripts were modified to eliminate the erroneous speaking of the
message "You must be in the spell checker to use this function"; when you
are truly in the spell checker.
5 A group of window class constants found in the messages header file were
moved into the script header file.
A script to toggle the return receipt button has been added and given the
key stroke {alt+shift+control+R}.
7 {control+Q} is labeled to say "closing Eudora".
8 {shift+control+X} maximizes windows.
9 {shift+control+F} simulates the alt+m and then f for forwarding a message.
10 {control +`} can be used to delete messages the same as {control +D}.
I hope you enjoy these scripts.
