Folks,

The issue of JFW not reading PDF files is not really a JFW issue. It deals
with the way Adobe creates PDF files.

You have one of at least three options to read PDF files. I'm listing them
here in the order I find them to be easiest to most difficult or
involved. For more information see http://access.adobe.com

1. If you have the URL to a PDF file you want to read from a web site, send
it as the text of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] You'll be returned what
text Adobe can extract from the PDF file.

2. If you have a PDF file on your computer you want to read, send it as a
message attachment to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and you'll get back the
text of the file.

3. If you plan on dealing with a high volume of PDF material or have other
needs that are not met by the email conversion options, download and
install both the Adobe Acrobat Reader and something known as the Access
Plugin. The second is detailed at the http://access.adobe.com site I
mentioned. This allows you to do the same conversion that's done by email
on your computer.

Be aware that often the format of the converted material is a bit jumbled.
