ie5 and hardware synthesizers

Having lots of problems.  Most frequent in c:\windows\faultlog.txt is
iexplorer caused a general protection fault with kernel32.dll.
Address and specifics show up after that.  Microsoft is aware of the error
and may provide a fix for it.
