I am also having this problem with Accent SA connected to my computer via
comm2. I think, though, that the problem has to do with the amount of memory
in the syntesizer. The sound card has about 512 Kb. or more. The accent SA
has only 2 Kb. or so. The internal Accent. or Accent PC has only 640 or so
bytes. Thus, I think that as text is sent to the synthesizer, only a portion
of it is spoken, and the flush code trailling wipes out the rest. At least
seems like JAWS is not feeding the text gradually as it is spoken.
The Accent an other devices are dated from the time of DOS. In those days,
2 Kb. for a printer or syntesizer was a whole lot. Again, I think that JAWS
sends full screens of information and not all of it is retain by the buffer
on Accent or simmilar devices.

With the Accent SA, using the shift key to skip ahead a
line/sentence/paragraph causes the current sentence to be repeated, and
speech wont' advance beyond that sentence without hitting insert down arrow
again. The skip ahead feature works normally with eloquence and MS Speech.
It is consistent through all applications. Is anybody else had this
problem? I'm running Accent through COM 2, and I'm using JFW 331 RC2.
