Dr. Norton, hidden files, & jfw authorization file

There was a good deal on the Norton utility program 
in Grand Forks so I bought a copy.  The virus detection portion is what I really want 
to use.  However, If I install Dr. Norton and speed-disk, do I just tell Norton to 
leave the hidden files alone?  Or do I have to tell Norton to leave the jfw authorizat
ion file alone?  Does anyone know the name of the authorization file or is that a 
secret.
