Tonight I went to Yahoo and into my My.Yahoo account to look up some 40
stocks which I monitor routinely.
I read them using 3.3.1 and i knowwhere the stocks closed on Friday. I was
not surprised at the whole numbers but was taken aback by the fractions
which were not correct. So i went back into my My.Yahoo stock list and used
3.2 which read the same information and the fractions were correct. Then
I checked them with the CharlesSchwab telephone system--telebroker.
Then I wentto another site and typed in more quotes. The fractions were
correct most of the time.
Allowing for possible errors on my part--which are always possible--I went
into Word and typed fractions all over the page. Those fractions that were
typed in Word were read correctly by 3.3.1.
I can't explain it. And I do not claim to be dogmatically right. I am
simply reporting this happening on Saturday October 16.
I also sent e-mail messages to myself full of fractions which 3.3.1 read
correctly. go figure.
