Hi,
I have Ruby working fine with JAWS 3.31.35 loaded. This is silenced using
the RUBY.JCF and OBU.JCF files found in \RUBY.\BACKUP. Copy these to your
\JFW331\SETTINGS\ENU folder (or whichever version of JAWS you are using)
and this should then work for you.
I too find my scanner doesn't initialize when I start Ruby and go to scan a
file. My current work around is to open a new .ARK file in which to scan
and (for me anyway) this then initializes my scanner.
