I think the misreporting of links in OE5 (sometimes it's accurate and
sometimes not, I haven't seen a pattern yet) might be fixed - hopefully. But
in the meantime, you can either toggle off the Virtual cursor as suggested,
or you can turn the virtual cursor off fairly permanently just for OE5 and
keep this option available to you in IE5.
To do this.... While in OE5 open the JAWS Configuration Manager by hitting
Insert+6. You'll be in the Configuration File for OE5, so changes made will
only affect OE5.
Go to the second menu item (I can't remember what it's called - I think
Options?; I'm not on the machine that has JAWS right now - I must use
Outspoken for Mac right now, when home with my folks - boo). Open the file
list and go to Advanced, which is the last dialog choice on the menu list.
Tab a few times until you come to a checkbox pertaining to Virtual PC Cursor
and uncheck it. Hit enter or the OK button for the dialog then Ctrl+S to
save this configuration change.
Now everytime you open OE5 the virtual PC cursor doesn't exist, though I
believe functions such as Ins+F7 for list links dialog should still work.
