IE 5 and combo boxes

Hey gang.  I'm having trouble with IE 5 and combo boxes on web pages.
Every time i go to a sight that has a combo box when i tab to it, it saise
combo box, but them the items don't show up.  Have any of you ever
experienced this before?
Any information would be appreciated.
