Hello all,
for a long time I have been trying to get JFW to work with MS Publisher with
no luck. Every time I load Publisher whilst JFW is running the system locks
with a message that says Publisher caused a fault etc. Now if Jaws is not
loaded Publisher will work perfectly. I have written to Hj over several
months with no resolution to the problem. HJ state that it is not a Jaws
problem it is one of resources.
I am running a Pentium 200 with 64 meg of ram. I enclose the last e-mail I
received from HJ, I carried out the steps recommended with still no
improvement.

See the following.
I have received your Fax. I have looked at the history of this issue and
have found your e-mails. I'm sorry we have caused you any anguish. The
problem you are experiencing is not directly related to JFW but is more a
matter of use of resources. Try this. From the Start Menu, select Run and
enter "Sysedit" without the quotes. Press the enter key. Select the
Config.sys window.  Add the lines
Files = 60
Buffers = 40
Stacks = 9,256
to that window and exit sysedit saving every time it asks. Try running
Publisher then.
Note there is no script for Publisher and that Publisher is a highly
graphical environment. I don't expect it will be easy for JFW with that
app.
Keep me updated.
Chazz

Can anybody offer any thing else I can try?
Thank you for any help.
Regards,
Norm.
