Dear JFW LISTERS:
When I posted the message to the JFW list last week, I forgot
to include our address and phone number. You will find them at the
bottom of this message.
My name is Dave Durber. Our company is called HotKey Systems.
Some of you will know about our company through Henter-Joyce
with the release of JAWS for Windows 3.2 and the distribution with
that release of a braille quick reference guide.
We started HotKey Systems in 1995. Apart from selling
computer systems and adaptive products, we also set up an industry
standard braille transcription and embossing service. We set out,
right from the very beginning, not only to produce the very highest
quality braille transcription but, also to produce the very highest
quality embossed braille. We also wanted our customers to have the
most accurate braille possible. So, that is why, all of the
materials we produce is proofread at least three times to ensure
the highest level of braille accuracy. The final proofread is
checked by a certified Library of Congress Transcriber/Proofreader
to make sure that the braille we produce meets the standards of the
Braille Authority of North America (BANA) code.
We feel that the JAWS for Windows Manuals, like all of the
materials we have produced, meet all of the above conditions. We
will endeavor to go on meeting these standards in the future.
Thank you for your interest in the Braille version of the JAWS
