Vicki, I don't think it is possible to keep the message window maximized in Outlook Express version 4, or I never was able to find a way to do it. Outlook Express 5, however, stays maximized if you can upgrade to that version. I am using JFW 3.3 and have not experienced any reading difficulties with it in OE 5.
