Using Insert+S to toggle "read all" works fairly well.

Also, there are some Telnet scripts I downloaded to this site
a while ago that give hints on settings that can be used in
the Telnet application to make it work better.  the scripts also make some
programs like "vi" in Unix work better with JFW.
