Is it absolutely necessary to removethe 331.35 we downloaded prior to
installing the 331.35 C D?
Also, there are problems. I found several web sites wherethe virtual
cursor fails to read anythingat all. and the only way to get into a news
story is to disable itand use the "old commands" to get the story read under
the Headlines or Title.
I think we need difinitive settings and better information. Now I do
like 331.35 and think it has a lot of advantages. But i spent one half
hour on one website before it dawned on me that I needed to disabled the
virtual cursor; the site did have 200 links. so that is why I thoughtI was
doing somethingwrong. But when I disabled the virtual cursor, things
started to read just fine.
Also I use Access 32. And the intonation is really weird. The voice
appears to "slam shut" at reaching the end of a line kind of like a car
when some one slams the gbreak peddal. so with Access 32, it can be hard
to hear the last word spoken at the end of a line.
I wish the 331.35 had left Access 32 alone! I use 3.2 and the old Access
32. But there was no need to mess around with the Access 32 intonation in
pronouncing words in 331.35.
If I mention these issues, it is not to be mean or to criticize for the heck
of it. I am sure that Henter-Joyce has heard this and is working to correct
these issues.
It is that the lack of uniformity in using 331.35 can pose certain
problems.
