So, do you suppose this also happens to non-speech users of Win98 too?
Maybe it takes longer because they are not additionally running a screen
reader on top of every application loading and reloading configuration files
with each task and so on. Is it perhaps that JAWS is a little sloppy about
it's memory management. I know that if you are not very careful about how
you invoke the new and delete operators when creating objects in C++ it gets
real easy to leak memory particularly array type objects and dangling
pointers. This is such an unstable operating system.
