Jaws doesn't seem to read colors in IE5. I am using Jaws 3.31.35 on a
Windows NT system. I was trying to register for the New York Times, where
I'll be able to read some newspaper articles that are passed around the
office. I was using the virtual cursor and got into the forms mode by
pressing enter. I apparently missed one of the edit fields and got a
message saying that items to be corrected were identified in red. I pressed
insert+6 to get into the Jaws configuration manager, then typed alt+s, and f
to get to the format options dialog. I checked all relevant settings,
including "speak text formatting", "speak text attributes", "speak
foreground colors" and "speak background colors". I then saved the settings
before exiting the configuration manager. (I have Jaws set to say all by
line under user options.) However, I couldn't get Jaws to read the text in
red in the forms mode. Can you help?
