I don't know, but maybe you could switch the typing echo to none. If she
types the letter, and JAWS sees it on the screen, and reads it from their,
that would cause the letter to be repeated twice. So, switching the echo to
none in that application would cause JFW to just read from the screen, thus
the letter would only be spokin once...
