Hope the below message didn't discourage anyone from using the Microsoft 
Update web page.  The problem was due to my overlooking to unload a few 
TSR's (Virus program, GetRight and Real Player Control center) before using 
the update web site.  Everything works fine.  Again... hope no one got mislead.
