If you are using Eudora Light, I have noticed that sometimes remaximizing the window helps. You can also use control-tab to cycle through the open items in the program, and that sometimes helps. I also found that sometimes, it helps to Alt-tab in to another application, let the focus rest there for a second, and then go back to Eudora.
