unwanted characters

Hello Listers,
In some recent E Mails that I composed, I have discovered some characters at
the beginning of the line that I did not put there.
I can oly read them when I read the current line.  When I try to read
character by character, they are not present.  These characters sound like c
h, t a and o w.
Also, when I am doing a final edit on E Mail messages, frequently words will
"jump" around and get a little rearanged.

Any ideas?
