I'm certain you know about internet explorer 5.01 that is an update to 5.0?
Well, I just installed it, and had a tarible time. After the eternal
downloads had completed, It installed. Did I get the wonderful success
screen asking you to restart so that every thing could work? No, I got a
wonderful error message stating that their was an error with the
installation of virtual machine. So, I clicked Okay, 'cause I knew that the
microsoft virtual machine was nothing but crap when it came to working with
JFW.
Then, I rebooted and went in to outlook express where I was told that my
(huge, large, took many months to perfect) addressbook had been corupted.
That ment no contacts. So, I said to my self, 'self?'' remember the little
backup of your address book on the floppy disk that's sitting write in
front of you?
I, of course, said yep! So, I emported the wab file only to get the... al
to gether now... error message...
"Some entries were not emported successfully."
No joke! it should have said, "no entries emported at all." 'cause that's
exactly what happened.
So, I ran the ie5 repair tool, and it took about 3 minutes, and made me
restart my computer, but I now have my address book back, and outlook
express 5 took about 2 minutes to load because of some drivers I had
installed, but now, it's dialing my isp in about 10 seckonds.
