John & listers, If you are using Windows 98, you can use the MSCONFIG.EXE utility to permanently remove items from the system tray. You go to the start-up menu and choose "Run" and type in MSCONFIG and hit enter. This utility is a multi-tab window. You'll need to tab to the "Start-up items" tab and in this window, you'll find a tree list of programs that have check boxes next to them. You may need sighted assistance, because JFW doesn't properly read these check boxes. Simply arrow through this list and press the spacebar to un-check an item. It will no longer automatically launch at boot-up. Save the changes before exiting MSCONFIG. Hope this helps Alan - Visit the jfw ml web page: http://jfw.cjb.net
