I worked out some directions for a friend for creating filters in Outlook Express 5. I warn you though that this is a lot more involved than it was in OE 4. It took me quite awhile to get this down, but you can do it if you are patient and persistent. Here are the directions that I set up for my friend to follow and I am including them just as I wrote them out that time. I hope this will help and maybe someone else has found a better method for doing this than I have. Good luck! Crystal French [EMAIL PROTECTED] Okay, we are going to go through this step by step to set up a filter for my messages. There are some variable things you can do, but if you follow this it should work. Create a folder with my name on it first if you do not have one already. Alt-t to tools Down arrow to Message Rules Right arrow to "mail." Enter Tab to "New" Enter Press spacebar to select "where from contains people" Tab to step 2 for action Select "move to specified folder" Tab twice to go to step 4 to edit the name of your rule. You can give it a name so type in "crystal" Tab five times to return to Step 3 Down arrow once and should hear "contains people" Press enter Tab twice to "Address." Enter Tab three times to address list Find my name in the list and select it Press enter Tab five times to okay and press enter Tab twice to okay and press enter You should hear an error message about incomplete information Press enter Tab four times to return to step 3 Down arrow and you should hear my address Down arrow and you should hear "specified" Press enter You should hear "local folders closed" Right arrow to open the folders list Select the folder you want Tab once to okay and enter You are back to the opening dialog box. You can use Jaws cursor to verify your rule if you want, but be sure to tab to okay and enter to save the rule when you are finished. You do not have to edit the name of the rule if you do nto want to and want to skip that step, but if you plan to have several rules it might be a good idea to give them names. You can go back later and use the modify button to give a rule a name if you like. I have tried to give you exact directions here, so hope it works!
