I use Pegusis Mail. I do not know if it is the latest one or not . 
Anyway All I do is highlight the message that I want to open and 
press enter. you can highlight the message by using the up and 
down arrow keys or by routing the Jaws kurcer to the message and 
left mouse clicking and than press enter..
