a problem with jaws for dos reading only 2 lines

A follow up on the problem from before.  I have even tried the /c switch
in dos but it doesn't make any difference.  Sometimes when I turn the
computers on  jaws will function properly for a while maybe 10 minutes and
then only read 2 lines at a time.  Any trouble shooting suggestions would
be greatly appreciated.  thanks andy
