a problem with jaws for dos

A followup to my problem of jaws for dos only reading 2 lines.  I put the
/c switch in my config.sys file and it didn't make any difference.
Sometimes  jaws for dos will work properly for about 10 minutes and then
stop and only read 2 lines at a time. Any trouble shooting suggestions
will be greatly appreciated.  thanks andy
